As a prequalified right of way consultant for multiple state departments of transportation, THC has acquired more than 10,000 parcels and relocated thousands of families and businesses in compliance with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act (URA) and other applicable federal and state requirements. THC is also a national leader in Sound Insulation Program innovation, having managed large-scale programs at 28 airports and completed sound insulation improvements for more than 21,500 dwellings.
Position Overview
THC is seeking an experienced Right of Way Agent to support acquisition and relocation projects throughout Tennessee.
This is a hybrid position combining remote work, field assignments, and project-related meetings. Travel is based on active project assignments and may include meetings with property owners and clients, property inspections, and visits to project sites. Mileage for business-related travel is reimbursed.
The Right of Way Agent will acquire property interests and provide relocation services on behalf of governmental agencies and other clients in accordance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Acquisition assignments may involve partial or total acquisitions. Relocation assignments may include residential and business owners and tenants, signs, and personal property.
Requirements
Previous Right of Way Acquisition Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
MS Office competence (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Organization skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Problem-solving and creativity
Able to work to deadlines with minimal supervision
