Founded in 1977 originally as Rick Hamner & Associates, the firm transitioned to Hamner, Jewell & Associates in 1989. Services provided include right of way acquisition and relocation assistance in accordance with the State Government Code and federal Uniform Act, project planning, cost estimating, compliance consulting, and project management. Clients include municipalities, counties, utilities, special districts, housing authorities and non-profits, and State agencies such as the California High Speed Rail Authority. The firm maintains current offices in Ventura, San Luis Obispo County, and Fresno. Company History

Founded in 1977 as Rick Hamner & Associates, the firm focused on providing right of way acquisition and relocation assistance services to local public agencies throughout the California central coast tri-counties areas of Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo. Lillian Jewell joined the firm in 1986 and the firm name was changed to Hamner, Jewell & Associates in 1989. Clients have since spanned from San Diego County to northern California, with significant presence throughout the beautiful California central coast and central valley areas. Hamner, Jewell & Associates handles public projects small and large, and was one of the first right of way acquisition firms selected to acquire right of way for the California High Speed Rail Project. Other major State-wide contracts have included acquiring the right of way for the California State Water Project Coastal Branch, and a recent contract for right of way acquisition services with the Delta Conveyance Authority. The firm currently maintains offices located in Ventura, San Luis Obispo County, and Fresno. The company focus is on providing personal, quality, highly skilled, cost effective property acquisition and relocation assistance services to local public agencies throughout the State of California.
