JOB DESCRIPTION

BHE GT&S has an exciting opportunity as a Right of Way Maintenance Operator at our Greystone location in Columbia, SC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs right of way maintenance including mowing and herbicide spraying, installing and maintaining fences markers and signs, measuring marking and maintaining right of way boundaries, conducting leak surveys, and inspecting exposures.
• Remediates property damage.
• Performs valve maintenance, and collects liquids from system.
• Must be available to respond to emergency call out.
• Performs other duties as requested or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to plan, organize, and work independently.
• Ability to interpret maps, plats, blueprints, plans, and surveys.
• Ability to operate personal computer.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to identify problems, collect and analyze data, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to establish and maintain rapport, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Ability to operate and maintain right of way maintenance equipment, such as mowing tractors, ATVs, 18-wheelers, and amphibious vehicles.
• Ability to operate and maintain small, power-operated equipment, such as chainsaws and weed eaters.
