We are the resource that helps educate Floridians to address issues related to agriculture, horticulture, natural resources, youth development, families and communities. You will be expected to maintain an effective program advisory committee with appropriate community representation. You will also develop and sustain effective working relationships with producers, commodity groups, community agencies, county government, media, youth, and residents. You will use computer technology for communications, teaching, and program management. Program responsibilities will include commercial agronomic crops and crop systems, water quality, and other areas to be determined locally in cooperation with the program advisory committee. Columbia county is home to many natural resources, and you will be expected to promote best management practices to assist producers with water quality and quantities.  An active participation in our 4-H Youth Development program is expected (10%) in your area of expertise.
