Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise a team of right-of-way acquisition agents in the acquisition of right-of-way for local, state, and federally funded transportation improvement projects.
Monitor project schedules and establish right-of-way acquisition schedules to allow the acquisition of the required parcels on time and within budget.
Track the progress of right-of-way projects using Project View and aid in completing the projects by the certification date.
Support the Right-of-Way Manager in providing deliverables and services on-time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction.
Provide mentoring, training, and negotiation assistance to right-of-way agents by problem-solving on challenging parcel assignments.
Other duties as assigned.

Position Location – Marietta, Ga.
Employment Status – Full-time
Travel – Occasional local travel in Cobb County (client and site visits, project coordination meetings, and conferences)

Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
State of Georgia Real Estate Salesperson License.
2+ years of experience in right-of-way negotiation for Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) funded projects
Understanding of GDOT’s right-of-way acquisition process and GDOT pre-certification in negotiation to closing (Minimum qualification D-4-B).
Self-motivated and ability to apply independent judgement.
Strong communication skills.
Strong computer skills – MS Outlook, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam and Adobe.
Knowledge of real estate appraisals, real estate documents, researching right-of-way, understanding property ownership, and understanding of construction plans.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in right-of-way acquisition and negotiation for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) funded projects
GDOT Pre-qualification Acquisition Manager (D-3)
